DESCRIPTION
Chavikasavam is an Ayurvedic medicine used mainly in abdominal and urinary tract disorders. It is a liquid medicine having self-generated alcohol. It contains 5 – 10 % of self-generated alcohol. This self-generated alcohol and the water present in the product acts as a media to deliver water and alcohol soluble the active herbal components to the body.
INDICATIONS
It is used in conditions
Sarva Gulma Vikara – abdominal tumors and related diseases.
Prameha – urinary tract disorders
Pratishyaya – allergic rhinitis, Upper respiratory tract infection
Kshaya – tuberculosis, chronic respiratory diseases
Kasa – cough, cold
Attila
Vatashonita – gout
Udara, Antravruddhi – ascites, abdominal distension and hernia.
Useful in dyspepsia and anemia.
DOSAGE
15-30 ml for adults and 5-10 ml for children or as directed by the physician.
USAGE
To be taken twice daily after food.
